Manage multiple authorised versions (school-friendly edit, alternative ending, translated text) under one parent title.
A single title can carry several authorised variants. Each is its own licensable record but shares the parent's analytics and reviews.
Common version types
- School edit — language and length adjusted; usually amateur-only
- Alternative ending — playwright-approved variant
- Translation — separate language; translator credited and paid through royalty split
- Concert version — for musicals, abridged + reduced orchestration
Splitting royalties
Each version supports its own collaborator splits — e.g. translator takes 15% of the author share for that version only.
