Getting Started
How It Works in 60 Seconds
Producer requests a show, rights-holder approves, contract is signed, payment clears, scripts release. Here's the full picture.
Every licence has two sides — a rights-holder (publisher, estate, agent, or playwright) and a producer (school, community theatre, professional company, festival). The platform takes the licence from first enquiry to final royalty payment without spreadsheets or chasing emails.
The eight steps of a licence
- Request — producer picks a title and submits dates, venue, capacity
- Quote — fee and royalty are calculated instantly from your pricing rules
- Approval — auto-approved (if safe) or reviewed by the rights-holder
- Contract — generated from a template you control
- Signed — producer types their name; we record IP and timestamp
- Paid — Stripe Checkout activates the licence the moment it clears
- Active — watermarked scripts release, cast invites go out, alterations can be requested
- Closed — close-out is submitted, any overage royalty is invoiced, materials lock
The tabs you'll actually use
- Catalogue — browse and search titles, request perusals
- Requests / Approvals — your queue of incoming or outgoing licences
- Licences — every active licence with scripts, seats and close-out
- Billing — payments, payouts and tax invoices
- My catalogue (rights-holders) — your titles, pricing and storefront
You'll get an email and an in-app notification at every step — so no one ever has to wonder what stage a licence is at.
